As part of the Archdiocese of Denver Catholic Schools, Blessed Sacrament has a more than 85 year tradition of supporting students’ complete development and personal success. A rigorous, time-tested curriculum taught by committed faculty in a faith-based and nurturing environment results in measurably accomplished academic achievement. Catholic teachings, faith, and traditions are integral to a curriculum that reinforces what is taught at home, including virtues of discipline, respect, and responsibility. These provide guidance and inspiration as children navigate life’s challenges. - In a review of 20 years of educational research, the Rand Corporation – a nonprofit research group in Santa Monica, CA – included Catholic schools in a category called “Focus Schools.” These Focus Schools showed much greater success with students because of three important elements:
- Clear mission and distinct culture – not simply a chance aggregation of individuals
- Special identity – inspiring a sense of loyalty and common commitment from staff, students, and parents
- Commitment to development of the whole student – communicating values and developing attitudes in addition to transmitting facts and imparting skills

- Blessed Sacrament Catholic School uses four guiding principles to provide a balanced and engaging experience for our students throughout their academic careers:
- reinforcing family values – viewing school as an extension of the family which supports the morals and values that are taught at home by a child’s parents
- Providing rigorous academics – basing the core curriculum on national standards and creating a superior learning environment with increased individual attention
- Nurturing community environment – having close ties to both the parish and greater Park Hill communities through numerous service opportunities
- Continuing faith formation – promoting constant growth in faith knowledge and an understanding of the liturgical seasons
