Blessed Sacrament Catholic School

A Tradition of Scholarship, Service, and Spirituality since 1922.

As an Early Childhood through 8th Grade co-educational Archdiocese of Denver Catholic school,  Blessed Sacrament proudly offers distinct, rigorous, and developmentally appropriate programs that are attuned to the various needs of each age group.  We believe that such a wide-ranging academic and social environment provides definite advantages to students at all grade levels.  Our outstanding faculty, staff, and community proudly uphold the tradition, established in 1922, of investing in the future of our children and our Catholic faith.  We provide an open and welcoming environment for all faiths and cultures.  WBuddy Programe hope the in-article links, video, and pull-down menu information on our website assist you in getting to know the story of our school.Computer Use

Blessed Sacrament is accredited by the North Central Association, and as a part of the Archdiocese of Denver Catholic Schools has recently received District Accreditation through AdvancEd.  We present a comprehensive and challenging curriculum to students at all grade levels.  Our students take the Iowa Test of Basic Skills annually as part of our standardized testing program and on average demonstrate proficiency two grades above grade level.  Our preschool program is Qualistar rated, and we are participants in the

Race for Education

Race 2010The 2010 Race for Education is on!  Now more than ever we depend on the success of the Race to allow the PTSA to continually expand its support of the school's students and teachers as other funding sources disappear.  This year our monies will again be directed towards improved school technology (including more SmartBoards), new additions to the physical education program, special events, continuing education for teachers, the annual classroom fund, and much, much more.

A few highlights from last year's Race proceeds include the purchase of four new SmartBoards, new P.E. equipment, preschool playground equipment, and matching grant funds for the acquisition of the Reading Plus and Lexia computer programs.

Mailers need to be completed and returned to the school (your youngest child's classroom) by Friday, September 17th.  The PTSA will track your mailers and enter you into the drawings for some great prizes, then take care of the sealing and postage for you.  Pledge sheets need to be returned with donation to either school office or to Amy Degenhart by Race Day.

Preschool Race Day will be on Thursday, October 15th at 8:30 am on the Preschool Playground.  K-8 Race Day will be on Friday, October 16th at 9:30 am around Ferris Lake at City Park.  If you are able to attend, you'll be amazed at what enthusiastic and athletic students we have!

Parent Testimonials

I have been very impressed with Blessed Sacrament. They teach Spanish from PreK-8th grade, a strong buddy program, volunteer hours, strong and current curriculum, specials classes taught 1-2 times a weekly, strong parent support and involvement. Behaviors are rarely an issue. They do not stop teaching for CSAP...the administration really cares about parent input. Our children are taught core values, the importance of giving back and helping others, and leave at least 1-2 grade levels above their public school peers. It will not be a choice you regret!

Universal Education Supporters

U.E.S. is a not-for-profit fundraising group which has been helping families offset Catholic School tuition costs for over thirty years.  Volunteers sign up to staff concession stands at major sporting events in the Denver metro area, earning shares which are paid directly to the Catholic School of choice, preschool through college.  Participants are given a share of the number of times worked and a check is cut to the school at the end of each season (usually within 30 days).  This is a non-profit organization so the shares earned are tax free.  Event locations include Coors Field, Invesco Field, Dick's Sporting Goods Park, and Pepsi Center, and events are typically 5-8 hours in duration.  You sign up for as many
